The Polar Vortex That Changed My Life!

Welcome!

This is my first blog post!   I am very excited to have this site where blessings from my life may be shared.

The Lord has blessed me so much by saving my soul and allowing me to serve Him!  He has given me a wonderful family, church of 35 years,  and so many opportunities to serve Him.  I feel blessed beyond measure.  I believe, I must share God’s blessings with others.  So, in the coming days, I hope to be able to do just that, here on this site!  I hope you will follow along!

There will be things about my family, my church family, music, messages, poetry, projects, etc.   God truly, has given me much to share.

With this recent, “Polar Vortex” gripping the country, I have been reminded of the greatest “Polar Vortex” of my lifetime, January 23, 1963.  It is still the coldest day on record in the state of Kentucky!  It is also the best day in my life!  It is the day that I gave my heart to the Lord Jesus Christ!

It was Wednesday evening and the temperature in the “Holler” where we lived, would drop to 30 degrees below zero.  My father, Evertie Moore, a missionary in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky could not get the old church building to heat.  So, he had church with his family, around an old coal stove, in our house.  It was on that evening, a little 5 year old boy, not fearing the cold of a Polar Vortex, but the fires of a burning hell, pleaded with his father to show him how to be saved.  Dad took John 3:16 and led me to Christ!  He showed me that I was, the whosoever, that God gave His Son to die for, in my place.  I will never forget the peace that came into my troubled soul.

Though it is extremely cold outside, just the thought of that glorious day warms my heart just to know that I have a home in Heaven where the weather is perfect!
